- This sauce is very tasty. If you want it to be hot, add chile (I live in NM, so I add hot green chile to every dish!). I am vegan, so the fact that this doesn't have fish in it (like nearly every other pad thai sauce) is a huge bonus. It's more flavorful than those box kit's sauces, so you don't need a ton of sauce for an excellent dish.
